 My name is Dina Martinez Lombardy, and I am an Autism Consultant, Transition to adulthood Specialist, Mental Health Professional, Social Worker, and Educator with over 19 years of experience. I have also served as the Statewide Community Employment Specialist for people with disabilities in Virginia.

 

​I founded Spectrum Life Consulting to address the increasing needs of children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders and those with learning disabilities and other special needs. My passion and life's mission have been to help families with special needs children and youth navigate the different transitions in their lives and to guide my clients to independence.

 

​I hold a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and Child and Adolescent Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University, and I am currently finishing my Master of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am a Qualified Mental Health Professional and Certified Early Intervention Case Manager and Specialist.  I was a Social Worker for 10 years in the state of  Maine, and I am a certified  Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Specialist.

​I received training with the Houlton Institute under an Autism Speaks partnership on secondary transition to adulthood and have been a speaker at a number of groups and conferences regarding Autism Spectrum Disorders, Refugee and Immigrant challenges, Transition for youth with special needs, and Mental Health topics.

In addition, I have formed part of area advocacy groups and councils for children and youth with special needs, Employment First Initiative, Community Engagement Advisory Group and currently State Employment Leadership Network and  I am fully bilingual in Spanish.
